Scholarship

The Association currently awards two annual scholarships under the Julian E. Carnes Scholarship Fund. One award is presented to a student at UNC Charlotte and the other award is presented to a student at Clemson University. To make a contribution, please make checks payable directly to the “Foundation for the Carolinas” (NOT CPTCLA) and indicate that it is for the Julian E. Carnes Scholarship Fund. Please mail you donation to:

Recipients must meet a minimum eligibility of:

Rising junior or senior at Clemson University or UNC Charlotte
Legal resident of North or South Carolina
Academic major appropriate to meet the requirements of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for admission as a patent agent or attorney (including, but not limited to: engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, and computer science)
3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale)
